Urgent- Canalside Heritage Centre- Please fill in the Survey for Lottery Bid before Thursday 21st Feb

We now have to re-consult and it is essential to the Stage 2 bid to get as many responses as possible. It would be very helpful if you could complete the new survey, before Thursday 21st Feb at:

www.surveymonkey.com/s/9D9LYZB

It only takes about 1 or 2 minutes.

Some of you filled in a questionnaire last year, which was a big help in securing Stage 1 Lottery funding.

We now have to re-consult and it is essential to the Stage 2 bid to get as many responses as possible, so I would be very helpful if you could complete the new survey, before Thursday 21st Feb at:

Many of you already know about the Canalside Heritage Centre project in Beeston Rylands.

It involves the restoration of the 18th century cottages immediately adjacent to Beeston Lock and the creation of a heritage centre and exhibition.

We will be submitting the bid for Stage 2 lottery funding in early March. This will fund the construction and exhibition and will be for approximately £840,000.

We will then have to raise some ‘match funding’ of about £140,000. Fortunately we already have at least 50% of this in place.

For the latest details on the project please go to our website:

www.canalsideheritagecentre.org.uk

Please forward this on to anyone who knows the area and who you think may wish to know about the project or complete the survey.

Many thanks

Rylands Gym

The gym which was on the Trent Vale sports ground has now moved to the main Siemens site. This offers exceptional value, they have asked me to put the following in this newsletter:

We are a small friendly gym newly based (work in progress) on the Beeston Business Park by the train station. If you like to do your own thing in a gym then come & have a look (Ring or email 1st). There’s no supervision so your entrusted with keeping the gym tidy. We’re mostly weights with a cardio room expanding soon.
